1. Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?
No, you don’t need to be flexible to do yoga. In fact, many people use yoga as a way to become more flexible. There are variations of every pose that can be modified to suit your level of flexibility.

2. I’m not very strong, can I still do yoga?
Yes, you can still do yoga! Yoga is for everyone, regardless of their level of strength or fitness. Again, there are variations of every pose that can be modified to suit your level of strength.
Just start with some basic poses and build up from there. Soon enough, you’ll be surprised at how much stronger and more flexible you’ve become.

You should wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in easily. It’s also a good idea to avoid wearing anything too loose or baggy as it might get in the way of your practice.

Of course! We have plenty of mats available for use at our studio. But if you have your own mat that you prefer, feel free to bring it with you.
5. Can I eat before class?
It’s best not to eat a big meal right before doing yoga. Try to eat at least 2 hours before class if possible. If you’re really hungry, a light snack like an energy bar or fruit is fine.
6. What if I have to go to the bathroom during class?
If you need to go to the bathroom during class, just quietly slip out and go quickly so as not disturb the other students in the class.
7. Is there anything I should do before my first class?
Try not to eat a heavy meal beforehand and maybe drink some water so you’re not thirsty during class. Otherwise, just show up with an open mind and be ready to have fun!
8. What if I can’t do a certain pose?
That’s perfectly normal! Like we said before, there are variations of every pose that can be modified based on your level of flexibility or strength. If you’re really struggling with a pose, ask the instructor for help or take a break by sitting or lying down on your mat until you’re ready to try again.
9. Should I bring anything with me?
Just yourself and maybe a water bottle if you want one. But we have plenty of mats and props available for use at our studio so you don’t need to worry about bringing anything with you except maybe yourself and some water!
10. I’m pregnant/have an injury/etc. can I still come to class?
Please consult your doctor before coming to class if you are pregnant or have any injuries or other medical conditions that might limit your ability to participate in physical activity safely.
